The Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
The GDPR becomes enforceable from 25th May 2018. It is intended to extend additional protection for individuals and their data, providing greater transparency and control over where their data is saved and used.
The GDPR applies to the processing of personal data of data subjects residing in the EU carried out by organisations operating within the EU and to organisations outside the EU that offer services to individuals in the EU.
GEM have always recognised the importance of protecting the data we hold and will continue to do so under the new regulation. We have systems in place to ensure the data we store is safe and secure. When processing data, we undertake the following;
Where GEM provide worldwide delivery services, GEM will share both physically and electronically the delivery contact details with its worldwide network partners and will take on the role as controller.
When providing fulfilment and mail services GEM will not share any electronic data with third parties. Physical letters and parcels will be processed by GEM’s network partners.
GEM Customers can feel reassured that our Data Protection System is constantly monitored to protect Personal Information and its security.
