Denied Parties

The United Nations, European Union and United States maintain lists of individuals and businesses that cannot be shipped to because sanctions are in place due to their involvement in terrorist activity or other illegal acts. These are referred to as Denied Parties.

GEM or any of our delivery partners in the supply chain have a legal obligation to ensure shipments are not sent on behalf of or directly to these individuals or businesses.

In the setting of these new regulations, all our shipments are checked and screened in order to point out any irregularity or a possible link with the Denied Parties list. If there is any doubt the shipment is stopped and further checked.

To avoid any unjustified block or delay to shipments GEM recommend that all shipments are prepared using MyGEM  so to remove hand-written errors.

We also urge you to be as accurate as possible when entering the shipping information ensuring full names and addresses are provided for both the sender and receiver to simplify the checking procedure and avoid your shipment being unfairly stopped and considered as a Denied Party.
